cookie cassorole

Miss M. decided that she could make a better dinner option than I could, so she took matters into her own hands. A simple recepie of a pre-made dinner, than you take one giant cookie and smash it with a fork, introduce the two with a quick stir and voila a kids drem meal. Miss M. plans to publish a cook book with many more of her favorite recipies. So stay tuned.

All about me...

I remember in grade school having to do a paper called "all about me" it was a detailed look at what you had done, enjoyed, or simply liked about yourself and you life. So for those of you that have not had a chance yet to meet Mr. Ry here is his debut...
Mr. Ry
* loves to tackle his big sister Miss M.
* is affectionatly called Mr. Ryon with a strong french accent by his Dad
* loves to play paddy-cake and peek-a-boo
* is very fond of water and prefers a nice deep bath to kick in then his baby one
* is slowly getting hair
* for 3 nights now is sleeping for 6 hours in a row- which makes him good friends with his mom and dad
* loves to host playdates- but once they arrive he simply lays around

* loves to coo and makes lots of noise
* loves to bounce and jump on you lap
* is scared easily by Miss. M's excited squeals
* cries when he is not given his soother and gripe water when tired
* is defenatly addicted to gripe water and trying to give up the habbit!

Well I'm sure that there are many more interesting and fun things about my son but I need to but his sister to bed so I will try to keep you all updated on his constant changes and he grows.

SIDE NOTE: Miss M. just reached into an open container of sourcream from dinner and proceeded to rub it on her tummy as she thought it was lotion. Never a dull moment

My nephew's great idea!!!

I'm not sure if any of you have ever had trouble helping a child choose a halloween costume or not. Well try helping a 3 month old make that choice... especially when he won't tell you what he wants to be! Fortunatly my 5 year old nephew, Mr. T came to my rescue and suggested that Mr. Ry and I team up to be a spider on a web. I would be the web and Mr. Ry the spider. We were able to use Big daddyo's sunday socks to make the eight legs and a wither hat with drawn on eyes for a head. At our trunk or treat activity we recieved many compliments for how cute we were and for originality, I was pleased to give all the credit to my young geniouse of a nephew. So thanks Mr.T and we will certainly call you next year f or more costume ideas.
Big daddyo last minute came up wit his costume, can you guess it?....... He's white trash!!!!

Happy Halloween

For Family night this week we carved pumpkins, and i'm pleased to announce that we all have ten fingers and ten toes. Miss M loved colouring her pumpkin but refused to touch the guts. We all enjoyed roasting and eating the seeds too. mr. Ry was our supervisor...

Big Daddyo was the master of pulling out all the ewwy gooy brains of our beloved pumpkin.
The funny part was the next morning when i went to clean up the news print we had laid down to protect our table, to my surprise I was able to read the news right off my table. Because it was humid in our home and the pumpkin guts were left on it over night the article had transfered to our table. As Fun as that was I was relieved when the handy dandy Lysol took it right off. Happy Halloween to all of you!!!

Library program

What a cute kid.
He even gave us a mean face for the pic.

Here are some pictures of our little monsters at their library program this week. Enjoy!!!

Miss. M is our cute lil elephant, with a screaming noise from her (trunk) every chance she gets. Mr. Ry is our friendly motor cycle gangsta, a real Hells Angel. Dress up and have Fun this Halloween!
Miss. M also hosted a party with a few of her friends, they all looked soooo cute!

Ring, Ring,Ring

Miss M. has always loved playing with "Grown up toys". She loves our camera, our home phone, but especially our cell phone. Although Miss M. is very smart and creative, both Big Daddyo and I were very surprised when our home phone rang with the cell phones number on the caller ID. Big Daddyo asked if I was playing a joke on him when it rang again 2 min. later. I let him know that I did not have the cell phone and I didn't even know where it was. And so commenced the hunt for the mysterious cell phone that was calling us at home. As we entered our room we both had to chuckle as we found Miss M. in th corner pushing the send button over and over. I think with her curiosity level there will be many more adventures to follow.

Our ever growing family

Miss M. sharing a moment with her little brother, Mr. Ry!

Miss m loves the leaves and running up and down the hill at the park near our home.

Growing up (way) to fast!

Miss M. loves to help me with the laundry, but i get the feeling she is growing up to quickly some days. " what do you think, should I get a size smaller?" Miss M.

Grandma S. came to the West

Grandma S. came to visit us for a whole week!!! It was great for T-Mama to see her mom again but I think it was even mor fun for Miss. M., who loved all the love and attention that can only come from a grandma. We had many adventures from sorting baby clothes, to Costco and Wal-Mart trips x2, and the miracle of all was getting Big Daddyo to watch a chick flick!!! (Miss. Potter)Miss M. enjoyed showing all of her toys and books and any noises/words she new to her new found friend. Miss M. has a cute habbit of when she would like a story read to her she simply grabs a book and then backs her little booty (with a wiggle to boot!) into your unsuspecting lap, which Grandma S. simply adored. We also got spoiled as Grandma S. made some beautiful winnie the pooh curtains to replace the black fabrick in Miss M.'s room. All in all the trip sure was fun and successful at our end and we hope our eastern Grandma comes back to the west soon. We love you Grandma S.!!!

Two years and holding strong!

Well today we celebrated our second aniversary!!! We made it to number 2!!! I guess last night was actualy when we celebrated. We had a babysitter and went to the cheescake cafe for dessert and drinks as this was a tradition from last year. Our first aniversary however was not as relaxing as it was my first time to leave my daughter a week old with a sitter- who was my mom, so I wasn't worried , but it was still hard. Last night was a lot easier to leave Miss m. with a friend and a dog for an hour and a half while Big daddyo and I were out on the town. It was extremlly cold but we enjoyed a nice drive and fond convesation of all the things we had accomplished in two short years.

Miss M. celebrates her 1st birthday

Miss M. celebrated her big day with several friends and her aunts, Uncle and Grandma. We had a living room full of balloons wich provided the entertainment for the day - cheap entertainment!!! Miss M. loved unwrapping any gifts with tissue paper as she loves to shred it. The best part was when we brought out the cake and stared singing to her, I think this was the first time she realized this party was all about her as we sang her name at the end- she let out a big squeel. Overall it was a great success and hopefully a fond memory for her down the road. As for Big Daddyo and I clean up was at the drop of a pin- literally.
