I love the sights here in Southern Alberta. The wind energy windmills. The blue Sky is such a welcomed sign of Spring. I hope you enjoy a glimpse into what I see.

Memory lane, end table.

For Many years my Opa used to read "The other Wise man" at Christmas time. His copy was purchased at a thrift store and was very old when her purchased it- so when it came to be in my possession it was very Fragile to say the least. The simple act of turning a page would cause the page to tear. I wanted to preserve the memory but did not want a book I was scared to let my children touch, so I started thinking....

I love Modge Podge, a recent craft discovery for me!!! So I decided to spruce up my side table and have it reflects the pages of My Opa's precious book. On the other side not seen in the picture is the inside cover signed by my Opa. So if you have an old book laying around see if you can put it to new use and let me know what you make!

I think my Opa would be pleased to see us remembering him in this special way!
